What is successor model to Deere 790?

I really like my JD 790 and might be interested in another but the same model in it's current configuration. I figure it's still made by Yanmar in Japan and still basically the 790? Then again. maybe I should buy the current Yanmar that's the equal to the 790 in it's current form?

According to TractorData the newer model with the same configuration is the 3005. But a 2032R isn't too far away either.

The 3005 is the successor the the 790. Last year for the 790 was 2007 when I bought mine new in December. The 3005 came out in 2008. Basically the same tractor with a new number.

No, it is a Deere. Not a Yanmar with Deere badge. Only has a Yanmar diesel.

We have a 3005 in my family and the entire tractor is Yanmar. There is a tag on the back with manufacturing info.
