Here are few pics from Niah Cave.
The swallow's nest harvesters climb on mahogany planks connected by wooden pegs. I was told that no male from the families licensed to harvest the nest live longer than about 40 years. Most are killed by falling in the cave.

Needles to say that the jungle between Miri and Bintulu is just about gone turned into palm oil plantations. There are only two spots Niah Cave and Lambir Hills left. If you fly over there are palm oil plantations as far as you can see.
