best zero turn $3000

i have a bush hog brand zero turn couple years old and never had an issue mow 3 acres every week

That Raptor ain't no better and IMO worse than the ones sold at the big box stores...it is a box store mower sold at your dealer and now at BIG BOX STORES...I personally would prefer the Husky or JD over the Raptor simply because of the way the deck is mounted to the mower... very flimsy brackets and the cut quality on the Raptor and Raptor SD is terrible see more negative reviews on'm than positive by far

If you want a good ZT mower and your buying new.... It's gonna take at minimum $6000 IMO

I don't have a Raptor - and most likely never will own a ZT - but the Raptor is available under $3k - which is what the OP requested.

I wouldn't buy anything from the big box stores, they just aren't the same machines you find at the dealers, and when something goes wrong, they are no help.
I agree, if you can find a used commercial model that isn't worn out you will have a better machine to attack that much grass.

I HAVE ONWED A RAPTOR...for about a month...took it back for a full refund...too many issues with it to list them all...they're not worth $3000 I can tell you that..my mom in law has one and it's a pain in the a** as well...the deck has to be cleaned after every mow no matter what the conditions are.

The OP wants to mow 4 acres with a low end residential $3000 mower and several of us (including myself) feel he should be looking at a better quality mower if he wants it to last long.
