Injury - Crushed finger in implement u-joint

After scratching my cornea a coupe weeks ago,and looking at these photos.. It Reminds me of just how quickly we can injure ourselves..
Be careful out there !

True. Lesson learned.

It did cause me to slow down and realize that whatever rush I am in, is nothing compared to the delay that will be caused during injury recovery, if any or worse death.

Thankfully the finger will heal.

Sometimes if you can't decide between cutting and crushing. Build yourself some neat implement, and in the dark, while in a hurry you can find a nasty pinch hazard! Lost the tip of one finger. Same thing as posted above, stitches required through the nail.

I was so luckiy. In our little rural rinky-dink hospital there was the most amazine doctor on call. Not the usual children masquerading as doctors! It was the first time in my life that I had stitches, I could not feel and he repaired the mess with the utmost care and compassion. I owe this Doc a great debt of gratitude!
