I used one on an old payloader (Hough H-70) many years ago. It was very effective for ripping out trees. I would open the bucket up and put it flat against the tree. Then I would tilt it down, snapping off the top. Next, I lowered the bucket down to the stump, close to grip it, then lift and rip out the whole works, roots and all. The closed cab with metal mesh over the glass was a necessity there, and trees up to a foot or so diameter were no problem at all. The 4-1 was also nice for cleanup work and I got to where I could leave less than a shovel full of material (dirt, rocks, etc,) by clamping the bucket for the last load. Opened up and flat against the ground, the 4-1 bucket made a nice box for back-dragging and leveling. I don't think one would be really effective on a CUT, but on a larger cabbed tractor it would work ok.
