Kioti DK40 SE
I have a 2008 Kioti DK40 SE (non HSE) that has a failed neutral position switch (not positive this is the real name). The neutral indication light on the dash doesn't come on and the tractor won't start. All electrical and relays check good. I jumpered the cable for the switch and the Neutral light comes on and the tractor starts fine. Are there any tricks or quirks I need to be aware of when replacing this switch located on top of the transmission on the left side?

HST or gear tractor?

I had to replace the Potentiometer on my HST...it's on the left and linked to the H/M/L range selector linkage. Here is the thread:

Thanks for the response! Mine is a gear type not HST. I'm not positive what Kioti calls the switch. I can jumper the wire to start the tractor. Just have to remember that even though the neutral light is on it may not really be in neutral. I haven't tried pulling the switch off yet, probably will this weekend.
