Pole Barn??

I stopped using that foil bubble wrap crap. It deteriotes after 8-10 years. Using another product that is white on bottom, foil on top and fiberglass in between. Has an R10 value. Use it on roof and siding.

Do you have a name or link to the product?

Don't know the name of the board but I saw them at Menards.

I think OSB, I think mold magnet. Why not use tin on the side walls? At least for the roof, I would lay foil sided bubble wrap over the purlins.

My 52x44 pole barn was built in 1997. It's sheathed with 7/16 OSB with vinyl siding and 3 tab shingles on the roof and seamless gullets with standard facia and vented soffits. The roof has a ridge vent. The entire space has 5.5" of concrete for a floor and no issues whatever. Much better than metal for noise and sweating is non existent.

Yours is the first comment on failure that I have heard about bubble wrap. I have sold off properties where I used it before I noticed an issue. There used to be a material in a roll that was vinyl with fiberglass that I have seen break down.

Is the barn used for animals? Horse barns can have moisture issues, that's why I mentioned it.

I did my big pole barn in T111 and a little pole barn in OSB and vinyl. No foam except in the tack room along with fiberglass 6" batt insulation. White shingle roof with continuous ridge vent. Barn is always comfortable. Not really any hotter than outside. Outside walls are 12 feet high with a continous window between 8 and 10 feet. Pole Barn Building

I have several buildings that it has happened on. Purchased it from MWI Components.
