Obviously they should all match, however my pt1430 has had the front left motor replaced with a larger sized (appearance) motor. It originally had the CE430 as i have had to rebuild the rear. Didn't even think about the front. Anyone see a major problem with this? These 430s aren't cheap. Any insight to finding good prices on them? Someone have an application reference so i know what broken equipment i could try and find to rob one from?

That Charlynn 24 cu. in. motor is the exact motor that's on my 1845. Great price too.

marrt,

Can you tell me the GPM and pressure rating of your tram pump?

Can anyone tell me the GPM's and pressure on there VSP pump. Variable Speed Pump.

The pressure , torque and HP developed on those motors do not add up for 4, 24 cu in hyd motors with a 3000 psi pressure rating. .

Your Hp on the PT can only pump a max of 23.2 GPM's at 3000 psi.

The total of 23.2 has to be split for the the two sections of the drive, and there are two motors in each section.

The pump and motor can develop around 3000 psi, and there are two flow paths.

If the pump is a 3000 psi pump, then the two motors in series will use 1500 psi per motor. Torque is determined from the displacement and the pressure.

I had assumed the hyd wheel motors on the PT's were 1500 psi motors.

Some of the VSP pumps do go above 4000 psi.

I make no claims to being an expert, but when researching wheelmotors for mine, I looked at those that could operate at 1500psi continuously but could handle a higher peak. Since you have two wheelmotors in each circuit, the first wheel motor is subject to the full pressure of the pump should an obstruction or something try to stop the second motor from turning. The first wheelmotor normally consumes 1/2 the pressure with the remaining pressure being consumed by the second wheelmotor. Should that motor not turn, for whatever reason, the first wheelmotor bears the full force of the pump...

As I visualize this in operation, I think the PSI on any wheelmotor in use is constantly changing based on treadle position and the traction, steering position, load/resistance not only on that wheelmotor but also on the other wheelmotor in the circuit.

If the motors have the same displacement, they should run at the same rpm.

You can bet that with the wear and tear,none of the motors will run at the same rpm. Leakage, friction, etc.

What code is on your motor?

Here are a few motors you might match up.

Sorry it took so long to get back with you. Partly the heat we have now and the dreading of finding yet another thing wrong with my auction PT. By the way the alternator did start smoking. Now i have it disconnected because it appears to not be cheap.

Anyways on to the motor. It is a re530. Same 18.3in i believe the others are. Pt1430 2004?

My others aren't marked. It is 6.5 inches deep vs the others 4" deep. 530300w3131

This is a White Hydraulics RE series wheel motor with heavy duty bearings.

Decoding the 530 300 W3 1 31 A A A AA model number:

530 = Counterclockwise rotation (but it's reversible as you know)
300 = 300 cc displacement (18.3 cu. in.)
W3 = 4 hole wheel mount
1 = 7/8" o-ring aligned ports
31 = 1 1/2" tapered shaft
A = Black color
A = no valve cavity
A = no lock nut or hex nut included
AA = not a free turning rotor

Max continuous torque is 7300 inch pounds (8300 intermittent). The length is 5.15 inches.

Any hydraulics supplier should be able to match this specification with an alternative. The displacement, 4 hole mount, tapered shaft size and motor length are all fairly critical.
