Bad news and it can happen to anyone. Not many details and the story kept calling it a grader. Probably not. Tractors are tools not toys.

I'm thinking that a younger agile person might have gotten away from that mishap with their life.

If the tractor was equipped with ROPS and he was wearing a seat belt I don't think we would be discussing this story.

It is awfully difficult to get off a roll-over on the high side. Human reaction time being what it is and the quickness at which the tip achieves that point of no return. Been there; young, agile, alert, athletic and then mashed and mangled. "Best defense, no be there." Mr. Miyagi

Most likely an older tractor.. B-4 they put ROPS and seat belt on them

That is the kind of thinking that gets people into these situations. "It won't happen to me" or "I will just hop up over the side like a cottontail bunny since I am so young and agile" I really don't mean to pick on you but it is true, things happen so quickly and most of us, myself included, honestly don't know what how we'd react in the moment. A lot of people would try to save the equipment. It can just happen in the blink of an eye and there really isn't time to react.

ROPS only helps in open areas. We can only speculate about the tractor and what happened. He may have had a ROPS and been wearing his seatbelt. Wouldn't help much if it rolled over a bank in a wooded area and crushed him against a tree.

Regardless it is sad. Just reminds us to think about what we're doing and do our best to be safe. For our families sake.
