Red Ants

I am looking for advice on killing red ants. We live in West Michigan and have a large amount of ants in part of our woods and fields. Not sure why they like our property so much. We have dozens of nests which are 2-3 feet in diameter and 12-20" high. We have tried a few products but with limited luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Greg

The best thing I found is Termidor concentrate. I order it from Do it yourself pest control. I was told about it by a pest control tech. who uses it on all insects.

I herd corn meal kills ants

We've used boric acid to good effect on carpenter ant. Non-toxic to mammal and most everything except ants and maybe hornet/wasps.

This is the best stuff I have found. It is what golf courses use and they also use it on the High School Fields. I learned about it here on this site and gave it a try and was amazed at well it works.
