What do your volt/ohm meter readings tell you?
True enough, BUT you have to remember most people have more experience handling venomous reptiles than voltmeters, which is to say none. It is not taught in school you know. Unless you pick up that skill along the way in life, you are not going to know how to use either the analog or digital models nor make the deductions involving Ohm's law, or scientific method in isolation and trouble shooting. Just what do they teach in school anyway? So in general I agree with you, but how does a person gain this knowledge?. For some it is a hard road like this fellow has been down.
Are you really saying that no-one at your hunt club knows how to operate a volt/ohm meter?
YES. ... Otherwise, just change the tractor. Some simple checks with a voltmeter will isolate your problem. You should have done that in the first place prior to changing parts that may be good.
