Of course... Everyone under 30 always does! :laughing:And she kept coming back?![]()
and its a real hot rod with three pedals & a floor shifter.
Me neither.... it was the idler pulley bearing that locked up and threw the belt! I've had that happen on three different Chevy's. Replaced the idler pulley and put the belt back on.I have never had a serpentine belt fail ...
clutch! three pedals gas brake & clutch. What's the third one for???
ive got some fords also. ive got a 56 Lb Pk and a 55 2dr station wagon. and two 64 fairlane 2 dr htps.Good looking stuff, Old Junk Man!!! As you know I am a Ford man but if I own Chevy/GM it would have to be the early 60's step side "common small window truck". Love the dash layout and what looks like a wing to the rear of the cab. I do like that that you can swap from 6cyl to v8 and use almost everything!!! Ford is not so simple....
I too run a six in my truck "daily driver" with a sm465 tranny and a little bitty in/out transfer case. Everyone ask why I don't upgrade to a high/low transfer case, Who needs low range with granny low? Mileage is good on these six bangers, most others think their mileage is far superior than these old trucks and that is just not the case. I don't get the mileage of a 4 banger but can certainly compete with todays new full size trucks.
Thanks for sharing!
see where the gas ate the paint off the cab. the gas back in the day never ate paint.Real men drive trucks with the gas tank in the cab!
