I have a 2800 Kubota
B7800 with a front end loader and 5 ft. snow blade attachments, power steering, 4-wheel drive, and a cab. At the age of 91, I will no longer be farming, and would like to sell it. It has only 166 hours on it, and I have had no problems whatsoever with it. It has been stored in a garage ever since I bought it and looks like new. I paid a total of nearly $20,000 for the tractor and attachments, and would like to know what a fair asking price would be.
Hey
bill2265,
First, let me congratulate you on your mastery of the internet (or "interwebs" if you want to "make a funny")!
My Dad, a WWII combat vet (Philippine Invasion) is 90, and only retired from the construction industry (for the fourth time) when he was 88 or 89--LOL. And he's been using the 'net for 15 years.
Second, let me suggest that you visit
Used Tractors For Sale at TractorHouse.com: John Deere Tractors, used farm tractors and farm equipment, tractors for sale, Case IH, New Holland, Agco, Kubota.
You can either search for tractors similar to your own or, if you're not in a hurry:
a) Set up a "Post a Free 'For Sale' Listing" here:
http://www.tractorhouse.com/WebListingsInput/Default.aspx
b) Alternatively or, in addition to a), above, you could set up a "Want to Buy" ad (again, Free), and every time a tractor configured like yours comes up for sale, you will be notified of the asking price of that unit. You could then compare it to yours. (While this is a slight mis-use of the "Want to Buy" function, I don't think anyone would consider it a "hanging offense."
I have some HUGE commitments coming up, in the next week, and in the immediate weeks following. But if you find the use of the above site troublesome, when I have time, I could create these two, FREE ads, for you, and you would be notified, directly to your email, of the results.
I could not even attempt this until next week, but if you find it difficult on your own, and would like my help, feel free to send me a "PM" (i.e., a Private Message) and I will help you, when I can find the time.
If the "PM" thing is confusing--as it may be, if you're not familiar with it, respond here, and I will attempt to obtain your contact info, privately, through other means.
Again, I commend you for being 91 years YOUNG!
Since folks are living to 115 now, however, you might wish to hang onto your tractor for a while longer--just my opinion.
And to my fellow TBN'ers: I'm SO under the gun, for the next few weeks, that if anyone else would like to undertake the assistance I've offered to
bill2265, I would not only NOT be offended, I'd be appreciative.
Rock on, my friend.
Sincerely,
My Hoe
