Kubota L3540 HST/L724 FEL

Having loader problems. All works fine except seems like there is no breakout force! I can pick up a bucket full of wet sand (plenty of power), leave it raised for hours with no bleed down to speak of (no internal leaking) , but say I use my grapple to pry a big root out of the ground or something, or try to push or pull the tractor with the bucket curl... seems like I have a dead stick! It doesnt moan and groan like its trying, just nothing. So before I get this thing stuck, with no ability to walk myself out with assistance from the loader, its going to the dealer to see what they can find.

I searched, and posted new about this here and at Orange Tractor Talks, but I'm getting no advice that will work , I'll let you know the outcome.

Man I hope they can get it done quick, I hate to lose my tractor!

Good luck, if disconnecting/reconnecting hose don't do it, I'd sure get the dealer on it, I've gotten out of a lot of messes with the curl/dump function. Out of curiosity, does it act the same with the bucket as grapple? The reason I ask is with my pallet forks, my curl/dump is very weak due to the length of the tines.

i'd be pulling hte lines to curl / dump to see if they pressurize, er.. or at least flow in correct directions with spool operated.. the hookup to cyl with one end unpinned.

The curl/dump works just fine in mid air.. just no power there. Lets say I dump the bucket, then lower to ground and backdrag.. it holds its own, doesnt curl back up or anything.. just no power to pull or pry with it!

Maybe.. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but hydraulics are pretty much a mystery to me!:confused3:

Me too! About all I have figure out if that flow relates to speed and pressure relates to strength. So, if something moves, but is weak, it likely pressure related....

Does curl/ dump have its own relief?

Evidentally the check valves are good and it is cycling oil if the bucket moves under load.

One thought, blown cyl packing.

Leave lift hose in, remove dump hose, pressurize lift, see if oil blows out dump.

Remember dump lift swap depending on spool direction
