On some brands, the drum floats. On the bobcat version I rented, they do not and the wheels are adjusted by a turn buckle. I was thinking, what good are these wheels other than lifting if you approach an incline, even then I assume they lift the drum prematurely. I am looking at a used power rake without the wheels. Do I really need them. Hook up would be better, keeping it in position for hookup. If you used the side blinders/ deflectors, it would protect them. Other than that, I cant see where I would want the wheels. I can see where a rental should have them since many are inexperienced on a skidsteer
