Broke a rib, double doggone darn! 67 is too old for that kid stuff!

I fell down on a rock - on my shoulder - two months ago. When it wasn't better in a week - went to the Dr. Damaged my shoulder socket - only time and stretching/strengthening exercises will repair. It still hurts at night and makes sleep difficult. Man - do I ever know your pain.

I hurt my shoulder like that about 25 years ago (showing off on skis, did a flip, but landed on my shoulder) and it's never been right since. I can't really sleep on my right side. And if I spend too long at my desk leaning over a keyboard, it feels like there's a knife under my shoulder blade. I probably should have gotten medical attention back when I hurt it, but I was young, dumb, and invincible....

Harvey, I'm thinking that the more you strain them, the longer they'll take to heal. Take it easy. Hope they are better quick.

Just last week (8th) I was getting on my bike and the seat is rather high. Lent the bike over, swung my leg up and caught the seat. Landed with my elbow into my ribs. Doc couldn't see anything definite on the Xray. At 78 I thought I was too old for this. You're right it hurts like h**l to sneeze, cough or laugh. I daren't tell my mates that I damaged my ribs trying to get my leg-over.

OP do you have a recliner? I found sleeping to be the worst and sleeping in the recliner was aa lot more comfortable.

Isn't getting old a B**ch. We don't bounce as well as we used to, and when the Doc says about 6 weeks he doesn't say just which 6 weeks he's talking about. But we keep on going; who wants to sit in a rocking chair and never break or strain anything, it's just part of the deal. Be careful, slow down on the things that really hurt a lot, and keep on trucking. Being a tough old buzzard is kinda cool.

As you get older gravity pulls harder. Nice handrail, how did you attach the heads?

Hidden rivets and Gorilla Glue. One of the concerns is the guests will be wealthy duck hunters, that means drunk thirty will come early and stay late.

There you go again Harvey speaking a different language. I know what rivets are I know what hidden is but put them together and between metal and wood and I'm lost in your trade secrets.
