I have narrowed down my options of non-weight distributing hitches/ball mounts to the Weigh-Safe #WS10-2.5 (or WS8-2.5) [12.5k#] or the Andersen #3299 EZ HD [16k #]. I want an adjustable ball mount for the Ram 2500 4x4 diesel to carry in the truck to hook up to anything I may need/want to pull. My tow capacity is 17.1k# with no weight distributing required and the Andersen comes the closest to this capacity. But I really like the built in weight scale of the Weigh-Safe and realistically 12.5k# would probably be the most I would ever hook up to the class V, 2.5" receiver. I also have the gooseneck option installed and an old Equalizer 2", 10k# WD/SC setup should the need arise and will purchase a 15k WD/SC of some type should that need arise.
Anyone with experience with either the Weigh-Safe or Andersen EZHD ball mount?
Thanks.
