I have the 3032e and was wanting to add a larger tractor. I looked at the 5045e, but it costs almost $30k. I quoted a few other brands as well. Decided to look at LS and was shocked at the price. Basically $20k with the loader and remotes. I had an 8N before the 3032e amber don't think that the transmission would bother me at all for my light firewood logging.

How does the K5047 compare to your 3038e? The specs make it look to be a much more capable machine. I. How do you think it would do towing a loaded log trailer through hilly woods? I have a Wallenstein LX115 / LT60H Forestry trailer and loaded probably weighs closer to 10k lbs. I wouldn't have to load it all the way, bit figure at least 6k lbs. My 3032e doesn't like it much and I'm afraid to try it once the snow / ice starts this winter. The draw bar is low to the ground so I have to put a spacer in to get the trailer jack about 2 inches off the ground. It bends a bit too even when the trailer is empty. The trailer is listed at 555 lbs for tongue weight with the power pack and grapple.

Very good looking machine! First time I've seen that model. Lots of foot room with that swooshed back dash. I like it!
