I would buy one if I could find one. I can't even find a picture of one. That's the issue, The gland nut wrench.....

I pictured something more substantial. That looks like it COULD work. I was looking for something that contacted the recess on both sides.
So your saying that will work?
That's what I needed to learn. I can probably pick one up local.

Thanks for that...I just watched it today. Mine is a little different....easier to come off the tractor, but my seal kit would cost more than twice what he paid.

Today I picked up the cylinder from the hydraulic shop in town....about 7 miles away. I brought it to the shop on Monday and they called me Tuesday around 9:30 am to tell me it was done.....111$ and change. Fast and cheap....
The cylinder looked like someone gave it to a chimpanzee with a pipe wrench and a chisel. It was all galled up....not just the gland nut but also the cylinder. They had disassembled it with a pipe wrench and a vise.
I could have done that myself. But....it would have taken me all day to figure it out.
I don't have it in the machine yet as I filed all of the burs down and repainted, and I need to wait for the paint to dry. It comes in and out really easy once you figure out how the lines come out.

I resealed the two on my 3910 last year. They don't look anything like those. They are the cylinder in a cylinder style with both connections on one end. (No external tube to the other end.)

You'll know right away if you have the lines backwards. Don't ask how I know. :)

my lines are slightly different in length, although you could probably still cross them if you were really having a bad day (about 5/8" difference).
Seems I got it right.
