Sorry for sounding incompetent. I am asking for a friend.

Can someone advise where to fill and check hydraulic fluid? This a fairly new machine but a hose had to be replaced and it is now believed that hydraulic fluid needs to be checked\refilled. The basic owner's manual that came with the tractor shows no instructions from what can be discerned.

I have called manufacturer and just get a voice mail to leave info and they will get back.

Can someone please advise exactly where the cap to the hydraulic fluid check\refill is. A pic would be nice if it is allowable here.

Thank you very much
Steve

Behind the cab, underneath where the PTO and other rear driven implements would attach. On the right side, facing the back of the tractor there is a red rubber shepherd's crook like vent, on a large tube that goes down to the transmission/hydro. Unscrew the rubber vent piece and fill from that location. The opening is about 1.5" across. The dipstick is on the other side of the transmission and has a red colored 3/4" rubber head on it.
Use hydro fluid that is suitable to wet brake systems, UTF, etc. Fill some, exercise the circuit that had the leak, let sit, check level until full on the dipstick.
