By the looks of the tread marks in your photo, James, I take it that you're not in the market for new tyres for the little JD?

No, the little turf tires (tyres) are fine. They do what they are supposed to do. Sure a nice little BX with 4WD would be nice around our place, but the JD works. Ya just gotta know how to drive 'em:)

If you can get her to weed eat you have really done something.

She finished the weed eating while I finished up mowing the "scary parts" last evening.
I got one of those battery powered weed eaters, and she took to it like a duck to water. She hated the gas powered one, but the battery job is less intimidating I guess..Anyway it is less fussing around, you just press the button and go.

Man, she mows and weed eats! Where did you find that particular model? I might have to trade mine in!

She is a pretty good pistol shot too, and like me has her amateur radio license.:)

I would be pouring a nice concrete ramp for her in a heartbeat.

When we were younger she would even operate the old Long 2360 Utility tractor we used to have and mow for hours with it. I had an old FIMCO 6 foot finish mower and the old LONG was a 8x2 crashbox with a hand operated PTO clutch. It did have power steering which helped a bunch.

Yeah, my wife can never get the hang of starting a gas one either. If I start it for her she doesn't have any issues with trimming. I think I'll keep her.
