Nice video. These drones are impressive and becoming cheap enough to be considered boy toys rather than just for commercial use. I've certainly paid more for digital cameras and even lenses.

One thing I considered while watching the video that folks should consider before posting their home on Youtube: you just did the robbers work for them in casing your property and showing them what valuables are around.

Every one of the home buying shows all over the world seem to be using drones to show of the properties. The island buyer show uses them the most to film around the island and show it from the water side, up high. I just didn't realize how affordable they where for that level of quality video. The stability is just amazing!!!!!

I once flew ultralights and we were suppose to be at least 1000 ft over residential areas.

I have the phantom 2+, similar to above and had aspirations to video some deer in the field next to my property,
you can watch how it came out, the do hear it, and to be high enough to not hear the camera would be
too far away for much detail.. although it is a blast to fly and i love the videos it does make!
i have a bunch posted on the channel , but here is the attempt to video the deer

I will try and answer some of the questions, yes it has a return home feature. if you fly it out of range and lose signal it will return on the same path it went. (although thats what the book says and i never tried it) Flight time is a max of 25 minutes on a battery which is actually a very long time and you can cover a bunch of ground. The controller has its own wi-fi, so you set your phone to airplane mode so you don't get a call while flying, your phone hooks up to the controllers wi-fi and you see what the camera sees. You also can pivot camera straight ahead or straight down and anywhere in between. Theres a cradle that holds your phone, the screen shows speed, height, distance out, battery remaining and a bunch of other stuff. It has a 32 gig micro sd card, it also takes outstanding still pictures as well as 1080 video. It is a little noisy but once you get up 150' or so you can hardly hear it. You could probably see people pretty well at about 150' when the foliage is off the trees.

Hopefully the robbers aren't searching tractorbynet, and if they are they still have to get past the security system, three dogs, and the guns! Besides not much difference between that and everyone listing all their equipment in their signature lines.

I experienced Drones for the first time in Iraq in 2003.

I'm a supporter.

I also understand they come with personal responsibility.

But then so do Harley Davidson motorcycles with no mufflers.

Can't prove it, but I very possibly am alive today because of Drones.

Our FAA needs to get their "Head Out" and regulate these craft. They aren't going away.

Great videos guys. I looked real hard at a $1000 Drone recently. I flew a simulator in a store for about an hour. I got good enough that I wouldn't crash when trying a difficult procedure. :)
