No they're Metro bus shelters
. Over the years I've made a lot of money off Metro. We put a Million tons of falsework iron in the Pioneer Square Station of the Metro bus tunnel. These H-beams are 311-pounds per foot.
I haven't got around to putting the plate on yet but I have been practicing with my new welder. I think it should hold fine.
Separate project thread??? I hate it when you guys don't cut corners and do it right!Haha - Had some fun with this. I am going to go with 3/4" but haven't got around to building it yet. We have been too busy moving dirt and building a 25 x 50 extension off the edge of our shop to park the dump trucks under. I forgot how much I hated concrete work. Got the piers and footer poured and dumped 18 tons of rock for the floor. Welded up the six vertical I-beams for the columns and going to try and put the I-beams across the top next week. That is going to be a challenge in it self because they need to go up higher than my loader lifts. I have some ideas though.
You could always build one of these. Really helps when you need the extra reach. That is going to be a challenge in it self because they need to go up higher than my loader lifts.
