Anyone else get confused operating different things?

Yep, I get confused using different machines. I also get pissed when using a small machine trying to do something the bigger tractor would do without breaking a sweat. I just have to accept the fact that scout sized tractors can't lift with a forklift. Actually no tractor can lift with a forklift. My grandpas biggest forklift lifts 18,000 pounds.

The location and direction of the safeties on each is always a major concern and
potential trouble factor for me.

Time for a Glock?

With respect to off-road vehicles and tractors, I ran into near-trouble a few times when I owned and regularly
used a 2-pedal HST and a rocker-pedal HST. I also had a Bobcat version of my Kioti tractor, and the
engine speed controls were opposite on otherwise nearly identical tractors! Forward-rabbit on the
Kioti, and rearward-rabbit on the Bobcat. Safety hazard.

Since I now have only one tractor, that's cleared up, but my 2 regular semi-auto ATVs have foot shifters
that are exactly up/down opposite. Ugh.

I have also experienced this even on the same brand tractor. It is really annoying, but safety hazard would be a stretch.,

Anyone other then me really pissed about this world of (Global Market) Icons we live in? I want a fuel gauge that says FULL and Empty, or a throttle that says FAST and SLOW! Most of the Icons don't mean a thing to me. Even the Rabbit and Turtle, I have to think about briefly every time.

Try switching backhoes that have Cat and JD controls. They are close, but not quite.

X2 and yes I get pissed about it too. Why can't it just say what it is as opposed to the stupid icon that I can't figure out, and makes my boys laugh at me.:smiley_aafz:

And don't you just love driving a vehicle where all the stick things sticking out of the steering column have different functions from yours?

Yep, been there, done that, more than once. :D

Note the forward - reverse lever on the left side of the steering column. After several hours in the V417, when I get in the truck and try to back out of the garage, I wonder why it just sets there with the left turn signal blinking. :D

Hey I get confused operating one thing. I think it has something to do with being over 50.

"I think it has something to do with being over 50." I doubt it. Of course it's been a while since any of my birthdays started with a 5, and they won't start with a 6 anymore either. It all has to do with "Muscle Memory" and learned responses. We aren't that far from Pavlov's dog. We just think we are.
