Looking at a 3pt 765H It appears to be in very good shape. The seller says he has only used a couple of times. (I know the seller and is a straight up guy) Says if he cant get 3K hes keeping it. What do you all think?

There are about to be several people replying that 3pt how's are a bad idea & can break the toplink mount or transmission. Some will argue with that, but personally if I end up with a hoe, I'm going to make sure it has a subframe for a stronger mount that won't beat up my tractor.

yup.

I broke a lift arm once, and a top link once. When the top link broke, the face down ride into the hole I was digging was a thrill.

I've used a 3 pt for going on 4 years no issues at all. But as Fallon said, prepare for the onslaught!

3K is a good price for a barely used BH. I paid $3400 for a used Woods BH750-3 but it came with a sub frame which I adapted to fit my tractor. It attaches at 5 points, 4 on the sub frame plus a top link.
If you get it I agree with the others about having a sub frame. There's many threads here on building your own frame. If minedidn't come with a frame I'd have built one for it.

Mine worked fine for 15 years, and then................ snap, crackle, ouch.

The subframe makes the whole unit stiffer and much easier/nicer to use.

If I make it another 15 years I sure hope I have a new tractor by then. The sub frame for my FEL goes from the front frame to the rear axle. Maybe that is what is saving me. If you could have witnessed the incredible abuse my 3 pt hitch has tolerated for 30 plus years you might understand why that 5' hoe doesn't worry me.

I Like the idea of a sub frame and it may be in my future. Im headed out tomorrow to fit it and give it a test spin.:)
