New Holland TZ24DA
Hi All,

I just closed on some new property in Western Washington State. It's about 2.5 ac. So, after scouring Craigslist for a few weeks, I found a NH TZ24DA not too far away. It doesn't have an FEL, but with 60" MM and 600hrs of well-maintained use, I feel like my $2,700 was well spent. Especially since it came with new some new blades, fuel filters, etc.

Other than that - I'm brand new to acreage and tractor ownership.

Hoping to learn!

Here is the best implement for a tractor without an FEL: POND SCOOP Pond Scoop On YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=POND+dirt+scoop
They have many uses. I have a tractor with a fel, but will not give up the dirt scoop though. Besides using like a fel, you can turn them around and make drainage ditches. I've never seen anyone dig a pond with one, but it could be done. I'm using mine right now as ballast with a 500# Boulder in it. If using with the NH you will need some ballast in the front if you want to steer it and no wheelies

G'day Mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

Enjoy the site... we all had to learn at one point, just take it slow on the tractor & read the owners manual front to back.

Are you in Bellevue, Washington?

Yes, I'm in Bellevue currently, though I'll be moving out to Fall City in a few weeks. I'm excited about the move. Dirt scoop huh? I'm so new to implements... *sigh*

What's the advantage to that over an FEL?

Not much advantage. I've always looked at them as a poor mans fel. But they can do a few things better than the fel. A drainage ditch for one. They can be pushed or pulled in either direction, then lifted with the 3 or hitch.
