Tractor
MF 1010, MF 1250 with MF1246 Loader
I have an MF 1250 that will be getting a new clutch next week and I can't seem to determine if the Front End Loader needs to be removed to allow the tractor to be split. Can you help me with a definitive answer?
Thanks,
Clem

I would think the loader and frame would need to be removed, if the frame goes back to the rear axle.

That's why I asked, the loader frame doesn't go all the way back. It mounts at the middle of the tractor.

You should be able to see the circular bolt pattern where the two halves of the tractor join. If you have nothing passing that point, then you may be able to leave it on.

It all depends on how much weight you want to man-handle. If a shop is doing it for you and you leave the frame on................they might remove it and charge you that labor, as all of that is rolling dead weight (usually on a floor jack) when splitting the tractor.
If I was doing it................I would pull all the sub frame(s). Ya know...........work smarter, not harder. This slogan is on a wall banner at work.

Never seen one split with the loader still attached... just too much in the way to mess with

I left mine on when I split my Kubota. It actually made it easier seeing there was something solid to grab. The front end stayed put and the rear end was rolled around as needed. I did have to separate the loader frame under the tranny but it is made to unbolt somewhat easily.

I would imagine a Kubota B6100 would be easy to do that way. I couldn't do that. My loader weighs more than your tractor.

If you are getting a workshop to do the job ask them.
If you are doing the job it is your call. Don't forget to block the front axle pivot if you do.
