I know what chain grab hooks and J hooks are and how they are used to secure loads/vehiciles on a trailer. What are T grab hooks and how are they used?
Mostly autos
I guess I've never noticed slots in frames. Do many tractor manufactors do this or is mostly cars?
Correct. Never seen machinery with them yet. FYI, if anybody needs a "cluster" of commonly used hooks on auto's, I can sell these for $25.00. They are not on the website, so please contact me direct at boltonhooks@gmail.com if your interested. <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/trailers-transportation/442371-t-grab-hook-11-7cl-cluster-jpg"/> [h=1]R, T & Mini J Hook Cluster on Oblong Ring[/h]
Most "tractors" dont have "frames". there frame is integral to the castings that make up the engine/trans-rear axle etc. The small "lawn mowers" that are called "tractors" often have C channel frames that might have such holes.
but the quick anwswer as already stated. Just cars.
They are popular on unibody cars/trucks as a reinforced hole is easyer to manufacture than a location to bolt a tow hook/hole.
