Gotta love power heated mirrors
First 2 SCV's are electric controlled by joystick, second 2 are mechanical. Haven't used the third function yet but the fourth function is the hydraulic lock for the global carrier which means no more getting on and off the tractor to change buckets. The de-clutch button is on the back of the joystick but the brake pedal can also be used to de-clutch. Also has auto shift mode, just set the rpm's you want to shift at and drive it like an auto car.
Pretty heavy duty. Cat 3 suspended 3pt with cat 2 bushings installed. Rear fender switches.

It is way nicer then I need, but I am hoping it will last a long time. Has a proven bullet proof transmission and a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty so that helps.
Hard to believe you can buy that tractor for the same price as a much smaller and lighter 5m which has no where near the capability or features. I could have got a MF 5609 which is the same tractor with a smaller engine for almost the same price as a 5100E limited. Also looked at a NH T5.105 with full powershift for a price in between a 5e and 5m, same with Kubota M135GX. Kubota had DPF so that turned me off right there.
What is JD thinking when they come up with their prices?

Very, very nice. If the dependability is there you did great!!!! Thanks for posting the detail pictures. Awesome. Wayyyyyy too many buttons and switches for me but I'm sure as you use it you'll find all of them effective!!!! Very nice.
Most of the parts were made in India and China. Diff, transmission, cab, etc. The tractor is advertised as "assembled in the USA", I'm pretty sure that means the major components were just bolted together.
I can't blame a country like China for a poor quality John Deere, all the Chinese factory did was build exactly what John Deere wanted-a very cheap component. My blame goes entirely on John Deere which did not do their part in assuring quality, and quite frankly I don't think they care as long as they are making money hand over fist. They didn't care enough for the rep to call me on two occasions when John Deere said they would.
