Nice tractor. Sounds like you got one heck of an upgrade. Could you post some pictures of the loader suspension? That interest me. You'll love the self-leveling loader.
I am not entirely sure how the loader suspension works on this tractor but the loader suspension as well as the 3pt suspension can be turned of electronically with switches. I am assuming that when the suspension is turned on a valve opens and allows fluid from lift cylinders to flow into gas pressurized accumulators. There are several of these accumulators in the rear of the tractor. It works very well though, I can drive fast over bumps and the loader just gently floats instead of banging around. Speed is nice in this tractor too, 44km/h.

That is quite a welcome step up from your Deere I'm sure. Had the chance to use a MF 4608 recently and I was not impressed with it at all. Especially the loader.

Interesting. Thanks for the explanation.

Don't forget to update your signature. You wouldn't want her to get the wrong idea. :). Still holding on to previous tractor memories.

What is JD thinking when they come up with their prices?

That the JD loyalists will not look at the competition.

That's how loader suspension works. Line "T" into lift cylinders, valve between nitrogen charged accumulator(s).

The loader is built by Alo Quicke and I would assume it has their Soft Ride feature added to the loader package for carrying weight and helping out with banging and roughness when travelling. It is a nice feature. A lot of Orchard guys use it for carrying bins of apples.

Nice looking rig!!!

We see folks from all different brands here and there. Of course you hear this story and that story just by being in the business. We don't hold much strength in some comments because you usually only hear one side of the story. I certainly agree that service and customer support is among the most important facets of the business. Everything mechanical can and will break. It's how the customer is treated while the repair is needed. We have learned from past mistakes with communication as well.

Glad to see you have moved into a MF. A lot of the BIG stores seem to lose their sense of family with their customers. Everybody just becomes a number instead of a name. One of my biggest goals is to know every person's name that I have sold a tractor to when they walk in the door. It may be 2 years after the sale, but when you say "Hi Bob, how's it going?" as they walk in.. most are floored that you even remember who they are!

I agree in most part with your statement about complaints. However if you have any experience with machinery you can see when a manufacturer has cut corners on design or manufacturing. There are those that plan the longevity of certain parts to boost sales later on. This has been a practice of long lived company for decades. Make a quick buck on your trade name by producing short lived machines. Makes for faster resale. When sales suffer go back to making better products.

When I go to my dealer for parts/service items I never see the same person twice in the parts department. Not sure what is going on there. My dealer bought the other two dealers in the area a few years ago.
