Sticking hydro pedal

I did get rid of it and got another tractor. It is funny the Kioti lovers on this forum think the pedal needs greases. It was definitely not a lack of lubrication in my situation. Bobcat was very concerned when they saw the video of my hydro pedal sticking in reverse for over a minute! The replacement hydro through Bobcat only has a 6 month warranty. For the dealer to replace it you are looking at a little of $4,000. I wonder why Bobcat quit selling tractors:scratchchin:

So you were 'halfbottle'? Now you're someone else. And you bought another tractor. Was that before or after you replaced your hydro trans? Or did you trade it unrepaired? How did Bobcat get involved in your Kioti tractor issues?
The pedal might not have needed lubrication, (grease) in your particular case, but often that IS the problem, and resolution.
Bobcat sold their branded version of the Kioti line, supplied by Daedong of S. Korea, (Kioti's parent Company) for 5 years. They chose to stick to their existing line of equipment, of their own accord, or in conjunction with Daedong- the specific details of which I don't know.
Kioti is a strong company that stands behind their product. Do they encounter issues with their tractors? Sure. ALL brands do. What matters is how any company deals with their customers.

No. Think he had a Kioti, took it to a Bobcat dealer, blah, blah, blah. Then he bought a Japanese tractor. Don't know for certain....

Yes they quit selling tractors because of you Roger. They were scared of you.

They would have been scared of me if someone would have gotten hurt because of the hydro pedal sticking. I forget to say in the other post that it was a Bobcat hydraulics engineer that was concerned when he saw the video.

I'm not half bottle. I never had a Kioti, I had a Bobcat.

Well heck if a sticky HST pedal makes a hole tractor brand useless then we would not be safe on anything but a TYM as that is the only brand that I cant recall ever hearing about a sticking HST pedal on. Not only have I heard of sticking HST pedals on other brands but I twisted one of my rear blades up when a JD pedal stuck on a relatively new machine and I hit a tree with it.

Greased it about 12 times now, still sticks, hydraulic power is so low that it can only operate in low on flat ground. It appears to be a hydraulic pump issue, any constructive suggestions ? I'm pretty sure "baloney" won't solve the problem.

Sell it and move on to the tractor brand of your choice."No baloney"

BTW- the tractor is about ten years old with only 394 hours on it. It has been used mostly for brushing and a lot of that on hillsides which I can't get up anymore due to lack of power. Lots of hard back and forth mowing of blackberries, works the tractor hard. Great machine for the first 250 hours, now not so good. Many electrical problems, even though it is stored inside and maintained religiously. I spent this weekend going over the wiring system with De-oxit and dielectric grease and the digi volt-ohm meter, replaced a relay, cleaned up all the contacts. I am an engineering geologist working in design in the earth moving and mining industries and have been operating heavy equipment since I was 9, bought the Kioti because of its specs, particularly the wt/pwr ratio. In my world 394 hrs is still supposed to be a relatively new piece of equipment. I have not pressure tested the hydraulic systems yet, are there perhaps some internal filters, screens or orifices that could be plugging, if so, where? I have the shop manual but it is less than great. Bucket and cylinders are drifting, a joystick plate issue? One great thing about the tractor though, it came with a Kirkland (Costco) battery that still puts out 13.74 volts after 10 years, pretty amazing (kept on a battery maintenance device with a ground disconnect switch). The sticking pedal is no minor issue as it is a serious safety issue, as you seem to know. Any suggestions?

Oh, and as for dealers standing behind their products, mine folded, "too many warranty issues" the stated reason when I finally chased him down. But for some reason I still like this machine it must be that pwr/wt ratio which attracted me in the first place. Also, I am Halfbottle, not 94BULLITT. We seem to have had similar problems with our tractors.

Then do what Bullet did and trade it in for a Kabota 4240 cab tractor.
