low hour tractor

A tractor from the 80's with 132 hours??? I'm not buying that. That's like 4 hours per year. Maybe it's worth $5800 to someone, but no way I'd pay that for a low HP 2wd tractor with a loader.

Thats what those yanmars go for. Its just a vietnam recon. It had the hour meter rolled back. its easily worth $5000 if proven to be a good contition unit with no issues.

Motown...go look at what a Ford 8N still goes for and there from the 50s!!! and usually dont have a loader and are similar HP. Still less than this but you can easily pay $3000 on one. ANd you still dont have a loader.

This is a tractor I'd like to sell for $4500. Doesn't have a loader, but is a 2004, 4WD, 12 spd, 3 cyl Deisel with only. 226 hrs. Loaders can still be found for it

Is that a Jinma? Dealers who were selling both Jinma and 30 year old imported Yanmars back in 2004, reported that the elderly Yanmars needed far fewer set-up hours to to prepare for sale, and were far less likely to need warranty work after sale, compared to a brand new Jinma.

Now another ten years later, the Yanmars have held value pretty well while a 10 year old Jinma may be hard to support.

Jinma254/farm pro 2425. Same thing. It runs great, no problems and everything works

NOt saying the Jimina can not be a solid unit. But it has devalued pretty fast in 10 years right? Half your initial investment..maybe more? Most that bought yanmars (ignoreing different year dollars just calling a dollar a dollar) either have seen them appreciate over thier purchase price or be pretty much steady as what they paid.

Parts can be found but there more complicated and can be confuseing to trouble shoot i imagine when the electonics do give trouble and some parts i bet cant be found. With yanmars like ours most can be found on a parts unit or still availible as aftermarket.

different strokes i guess

It's still a good tractor but I know what you're saying and part of why it's for sale. Main reason though is I don't need it. Rather see someone get some use out of it. Too bad it doesn't have the fel or BH
I think it cost around $8-$9k new
