Buying Advice Best Compact Tractor for my size?

My JD 3032E has lots of room for me. I'm 6 foot 230. Adjust the seat all the way back and it's very comfy, more room than I need actually. I paid $19k for my whole rig, tractor, loader, brush hog and rear blade with loaded tires and delivery. That was a 2013 model bought in January of 2014.

Kcflhrc, sounds like you have a nice setup. But with all due respect . . you're a svelte 230 pounds. The OP is 70% more weight and thus floor size and distance to pedals are just two considerations.

Its about width . . and space between control levers and legs. Its about steering wheel angle and distance to body. Its about seat design and outer contour support.

At 6 feet and 230 you're the average sized handsome tractor operator. The OP has much more "bulk muscle"

It's more tractor and more money, but the 2555 Mahindra with the seat all the way back and the steering wheel tilted up is really roomy for big/tall guys. The seat sits pretty low though, so you might need to raise it for your knees not to be sticking up.

When my wife's uncle, 6'7" and about 325 bought a 30 HP Mahindra, he did what was mentioned by several people, he built brackets and moved the seat back and up. Just keep in mind that most dealers will not do this for you or recommend it as the ROPS system is designed for a specific seat height as it relates to the roll bar and the hood, etc. Raise the seat and then compound that with a tall operator and your head becomes the roll over protection for the tractor, instead of the tractor protecting you. Be advised, this has some risk.

True, I think if I was 400 lbs. I might be looking for a larger machine. Kinda like a Monkey humping a football.
