I have a friend who also stole one of those at an Auction. He dissembled the vise took it to a sand blasting place, went back a couple days later and picked the vise up. Painted it and it looks brand new. He advises it pains him every time he uses it though. :laughing:

Got an ATHOL M&F 613 1/2 for $40 on the last day of my outdoor market season.
Dang I really wanted it for $30!
Pretty good condition for its age...handle is straight and jaws are decent, knurling is only slightly worn.
This one looks to have been once painted an industrial green...curious now if they ever were originally painted what the color might have been.

Drove thru Athol a few years ago taking scouts to camp in maine.
I used to work for an herbicide company based in Athol.
