Its ALIVE its ALIVE its ALIVE!!!!
I had a lot of chores to do today; but when I opened the shop and "J.D." was sitting there so lonely and sullen, what could I do? Screw the chores, let's play! I loosened the clamp that holds the intake rubber hose to the manifold and pulled the tube away from the manifold. I turned the key counter clockwise and started counting seconds. At 15 seconds I noticed the first puff of white smoke in the intake. At 30 seconds it was pouring smoke, at 45econds flames were licking up out of that intake opening. And I did hear the "pop". O.K., my next trouble shooting procedure is a hearing test for me. That should be easy enough, I am the ear doctor!
As part of my chores, I hooked J.D. to the Woods FM60M rear mount finish mower and spent an hour and 1/2 of shredding fallen oak and chestnut leaves. J.D., as usual, chugged right along faithfully and nary a stumble. As I parked for the day I noted the hour meter, 3,988.8. And, J.D. looks better than most folks tractors that are only a few years young. Take care of your stuff and it will take care of you!
