headphones revisited

I know this has been covered before, but I'm ready if I can find the right ones.
I'm looking for bluetooth headphones, noise cancelling, that I can use with my android smartphone while on the tractor or lawnmower. I cannot hear my phone ring while working/playing on Kubota 1 or Kubota 2. It's not that I am that itching to get phone calls, but my wife has just become wheelchair/walker bound for a few months. If she needs me to come in, I'd like to be available.
I see some by Bose for ~~$300. I'll pay that if I have to, but just wondered if anyone has relevant information.

The Bose headphones work great on a airplane but not so much around noise machinery. You will need the full size headphones to block out the outside noise. I did a search for headphones awhile back. Lots of choices available. Mine were for around the house not on a tractor so would not work for you.

I use the Plantronics fit Bluetooth headset. They fit pretty well under a pair of ear protection headphones and they are waterproof / sweat sweat proof. I've been very happy with them so far.

I just use a standard pair of noise-canceling ear buds under a set of hearing protection ear muffs. Works pretty well, and rather inexpensive ($10).

I have both noise canceling ear-buds and headphones from Bose for my Android phone, the headphones are from my travelling days and the ear buds were a gift. When it is really noisy, I use the ear buds under a set of regular Peltor ear muffs and when it is moderate noise I use the headphones. The sound is fantastic and people say that both microphones work very well when I talk.

I've completely given up on headphones for the simple reason that almost every time I'm out mowing and wearing them, a branch will rip them out of my ears at least once. After having my phone pulled out of my tractor and landing on the ground close to my bush hog twice, I've decided that there isn't going to be a third time. Now I enjoy the quite of mowing while just wearing ear plugs and leaving my phone in my pocket where it's safe.

That's what's great about Bluetooth...you don't have to worry about the wires and ripping your phone out of your pocket. I don't have Bluetooth headphones (yet...I'm hoping to get some), so I tie the cord around the strap on the back of my cap and run the cord inside my shirt and to the phone in my pocket.

I just bought a pair of "TACTIX" Bluetooth Hearing Protection (A$70)... yes, Made in China.

23db, Bluetooth which my mobile phone connected to right away, hands-free, FM radio, MP3 jack and 20+ hrs on a fully charged battery.

So far, so good.

Wagtail, this might be a dumb question, but do you guys down under ever use Amazon.com? Do they ship international? Or do you have something like that down there?
