If they are on the brush guard don't you think you'll still have glare on the loader bucket? I was thinking of putting them on the ROPS using some square U bolts so the ROPS isn't altered.

Let me know how it works out. Pics too please. Likely I wont need to bother for quite some time since the tractor is at our other property that we don't live at so I don't know that I'll do any evening work. I'm busy spending money on implements right now. Trying to decide between Piranha and Ratchet Rake right now.

I think it will put it high enough above the bucket to light the way and avoid the glare. I will try it out before I do anything perminate. I will post pics for sure. I'll have to look into those attachments.

Have you used the loader much yet? I can't get it to float. It is supposedly a detent beyond forward/down. I tried and just lift the front end up.

I haven't done much with it yet. I'm not sure what you mean by float? You mean it wants to drop when you raise it?

push the lever further.

You'll get used to it, just push it past forward and you'll feel a click/pop type sensation. First time I put mine in thought oh $@#€ I broke it.

So, don't worry about it lifting the front end off the ground before I get to float?

If the front end is up, it'll drop down. No biggy. You'll get faster with it. And/or do it when it's higher up in the air (before it has a chance to push the front up).

Thank you all. That's what makes this forum great. So many folks quick with answers.

I'll play with it this weekend and see if I can get the hang of it.

I had to look up what it meant to float the bucket. Lol. I never had that feature on the old Kioti and always just pushed snow with the rear blade. Glad you brought that up.

That's why I'm here - to learn stuff. And no one has called me an idiot yet for my ignorance. :)

Big differance in being an idiot and ignorant of something. Ignorance can be cured with knowledge, an idiot is a lifelong affliction

I understand that, mecan. I do tech support for a living. Ignorant customers are no problem. Idiots are a challenge. Real hard not to make comments that would get me in trouble with some of them.

I love that quote, use it a lot myself.

Ok, finally remembered to dig up some photos while on my PC...

Easy to angle & point where I need em. Generally I have one light pointed pretty close to the tractor & one further away. I was going to wire front & back seperately, but realized that would be of little value. If it's dark, I want light all around.

The headlight glare is pretty bad, to get rid of it, you lift the bucket to the point where the bucket completely obscures your forward view. You could lift it all the way up, but that often has other issues. Generally I run with my ROPS lights on & at least half the time the headlights are off when it's dark. The angle from up there gives FAR superior coverage all around the tractor with minimal glare issues.

Very nice machine. I like the lights on top the rops. Wouldn't work in my case as I can't get it in the garage. Also, what a blade. I thought at first glance that was a scraper blade on the back. But wow! Thanks for sharing.

I welded a 3pt quick hitch to a SSQA plate & that is the mount for a cheap used truck plow. Its a smaller plow for a jeep or something but I got it for $100 & it works well. I'm looking for a replacement with hydraulic angle as this one is manual. Likely to take a long time to find one cheap enough though.

You could mount the lights under the ROPS rather than over like I did. Wouldn't increase your clearance & provide almost as good of light coverage.

Not to hijack the thread but it would be fairly cheap to add a D.A. cylinder or 2 single cylinders by welding on some mounts for the cylinders to make it angle.

True. I have about $300 into it ($100 for the plow, $50 for the SSQA plate & another $100 for the Quick Hitch & 2 more SSQA plates). I figure if I tried I might be able to sell it for $7-800. If I bide my time I can probably get a slightly bigger & beefier plow that already has hydraulics for $400 or so. Make a few bucks & upgrade.

I already added hydraulic angle on my back blade, although that was an OEM kit. But now that I have a box blade & the plow, its not really used & will probably get sold.
