That's a lot better than mushrooms wanting to be poop.
...as long as you don't add any oils to them....

Yup ... it's my wife that wants them for free (or maybe not at all... RS. You want fish on a budget. Sneak into the neighbors pond and catch some small bass and bluegill. Then watch them grow. You'll have supper one night eventually..
Thanks for showing me that link. I came in for a quick cup of tea a while back and ended up reading your entire thread from beginning to end. Now it's way too dark to go back outside ! You have some really good pictures, particularly those in black and white, and it's great that you have the memories to go with them too.
No problemo ...... RS, we need pics of that still ...
Can't help ya on that count... preferably with something dribbling out the end of it
I've heard talk of some 8' T-12 LED bulbs that you don't even need the ballast for ... they were pretty pricey though, IIRC.Been replacing the 4' fluorescent tubes in the garage with LEDs. These are a straight swap for the tubes, no rewiring or ballast removal required. The LEDs are MUCH brighter than the old bulbs, which helps justify the $35/pair cost. Haven't checked on energy savings yet, which may not be as great since the ballasts are still in use.
I got the daylight version (more bluish) ... after consulting with The Woman, any future acquisitions will probably be the warm white variety, as that's what she prefers for general lighting in the house. It would sure be nice if the higher wattage bulbs were available at a reasonable price, as I find that with getting older I need more light not less![]()
Hope the bulbs work out. I have a project at work that we are implementing some rather expensive 12v LEDs from Rigid Industries. they seem to be about 3-4 times everybody else's price. Very bright, but the give off quite a bit of heat which surprised me. Light energy is light energy.

You remember my Niece that I told you about last month, the one that was going to quite her job to become a full time alligator catcher, the one with the bloody leg . . .well she was on TV again today and then later got a call to be on Good Morning America (Nov.8). She was still excited about it as she told us what happened - Here is what happened this morning -
