Thanks for the correction BUT it's still very important that breather hole isn't plugged no matter where it is located so moisture in oil reservoir once it's heated from operation can evaporate

That and if it is plugged with a No.8 screw it will blow the dipstick out on the ground if you lower the FEL lift (on models like my Kioti that have a dipstick, I realize the L3400 does not). Don't ask now I know that.:eek::)

Just wondering if a good diesel filter, one that separates water, could be used on the drained hydraulic oil, so you could re-use it after filtering? That's if it is still good, aside from the water?
