Does anyone know if Deere or any aftermarket suppliers offer a power beyond block for an early serial number 950? It would go in place of the CH11905 cover plate listed in the parts diagram?
Also where is the most commonly used port for a sump return? I was thinking about the port occupied by a pipe plug in the left side cover for the suction screen.

Where is CH11905?

What does your machine have on it? A FEL? MFWD? Power steering?

My machine is parked at my mothers, but give me some clues Iand I can look at mine and hopefully help you out.

But to answer your question without elaboration, PB should be an easy do.

Thanks for the response. No loader, no power steering, no 4WD. I'm not asking how to do it, just asking for information on a possible source for the block.

I'm looking to replace item 15 in the diagram.

I've typically not heard it called a "power beyond block", but I know what you're talking about. We would get them from Great Bend or Woods where we got the loader and valve kits from. We've also had blocks machined locally if it was an oddball tractor that nobody offered a kit for.

I've seen guys simply drill and thread a hole in the cover plate to feed their valve. It's screwy that way because you have to dead end the 3 point to get any flow to the valve, but it is definitely a cheap way to go.

I'm well aware of alternative methods to achieve the desired results. Since it's not my tractor I was just hoping for a bolt on solution. By the design of the lines/parts involved it's obvious it was engineered with that in mind. I see quite a number of threads here involving hydraulic and other problems/questions on this series tractor, so I guess I never considered it an oddball tractor.

By oddball I meant a Satoh, Zetor, etc.

Deere lists a "valve cover" that looks like what you need, but a quick google search comes up empty on inventory. #9 in the picture:

Wouldn't this serve as as a power beyond as it utilized to attach scv's? PN for parts key 9 is R67662 but it's NLA from JD

That would indeed be the part in question. That's the good news. Bad news, we can't get one. I guess we could try to search out a used one, but probably better off to customize the existing part. That was my first thought to begin with, but just hoping for a simple way out.

Thanks to all.
