You guys start out with a big machine!

Well I've got almost 200 acres to take care of and the farm I got came with some cat II implements. Really as I was pricing stuff I got the 7320 for not that much more than the 40-50 hp machines I was looking at. Never heard anyone say they had too much power. Of course the downside is the footprint of the machine is much bigger but that hasn't been a problem for me so far.

I recall in one discussion somebody saying that people bought too much power and they didn't understand the mantra of buy more power. I think he was saying you should buy enough to do the job and not waste gas, money up front, etc. But everyone else I spoke with gave me the same (different) advice. Buy as much machine as you can afford. I have my work cut out for me here. If I never run into a situation where I don't have enough tractor...Good.

Too much power. Ha that's like a car too fast or a girl to pretty to steal from the country song. I wanted/needed the extra power more for the implements I want to run. Right now I have an older 8' squealer bush hog and a 7' grader box I use but I'd like to get a 7' tiller to work in my fields doing a combination of vegetables, fruit trees and food plots so I wanted the extra PTO power more than anything.

Good luck with the house build. I've been involved with 2 and completely refurbished the cabin that came with my farm just this year. Lot of work and frustrating at times but worth it in the end.

That is a fantastic house and garage. Did you build this one ? Nice paint job on the XJ.

No didn't build it but it was a wreck when I got it. Refinished logs, replaced old worn out shingle roof with metal, new windows, doors, plumbing fixes galore, yada yada. Yeah I call the XJ my mobile hunting blind. Just a farm jeep but 1000 bucks for it compared to some fancy gator for 10000 or whatever works fine for me. Don't have to worry about scratching it up either!

Looks good but I am ahead of you with the house and behind you with he tractor. House is under roof but the tractor will have to wait till spring. The barn is starting Nov 16th so I will have a place to put it too. Hopefully, I will be in and moved by spring so I can have the tractor delivered around that time. I am still planning on going like you did from the same place. Let us know how you like it over the next few months.

I the link for the tractorbynet newsletter to my dealer since it had a picture of my tractor being delivered. He must have read the post and left me a voice mail giving me some suggestions to look for about that nut I found. I was under the tractor with a flashlight today looking at the gas tanks as he suggested. The nut is bigger than those...I opened the hood, looked at the third function, looked at the second remote. I can't find anything that isn't buttoned up exactly as it should be.

I picked up my grapple, my post hole digger and the 6 inch and 24 inch auger bits. Today I enlarged my parking area for the tractor. That grapple is amazing. I'm learning from scratch so it still takes me a while to do things and probably will for some time. But I would have had to work 4-5 hours and been filthy and exhausted to do it by hand. And some of it would have been impossible. I pushed down two 6 inch pine trees and was snatching mountain laurel up, roots and all. I was able to hunt for a couple hours and get this done by 11 am. It does not seem that I can put in pictures from my phone.

So far, this tractor has been a joy to work with, and the power shuttle has been very easy to control.

Looking good, how did getting the auger out go? I assume it went well and without smashing the side of the truck. I hope to go get mine soon but first i have to recover from this surgery.
