so.. a year later.... how many hours? any troubles?
291 hours. Problems.
The steering wheel cracked. Apparently this was not an unheard of problem and Kioti changed manufacturers of the steering wheel. The metal stand pieces that are supposed to support the fel for maintenance are held to the top of the fel by knob screws. I lost one knob screw and had to remove the metal support piece and store it in a shed instead of being attatched to the tractor.
I was lifting a 660 lb excavator bucket with the fel and turning the wheel. I didn't have enough air in the tire and it broke the seal. That gave me an opportunity to meet a neighbor up the road who taught me how to reseat a flat tire. It's been fine for a year since.
I somehow worked the nut loose, that holds the tie rod end snug and the tie rod end came loose. It bent the tie rod end and I had to get creative to ten fix that so I could keep on working.
Changing the hydraulic filter for the first time is an absolute pita.
I should have purchased rear wiper.
My wife somehow has locked the keys in the tractor twice.
My wife is better at driving it than I am.
So far it has been solid and dependable. And comfortable.
