Pictures not showing

I've been on here for years and post and view pictures. A couple months ago (just guessing) I found that I can no longer see most images. I just get the little black box with an X. I can see images that are photobucket images, but not the normal images. I also went to upload some images recently and the uploader does not show my images as thumbnails.

I have Windows 7 and I am using explorer. I tried chrome, no difference.

Any ideas?

If its on a company computer it may be due to security changes the IT dept. made. Could be the type of pic (extension used) posted not authorized.
I have the same problem using my company computer. Certain types of pics won't open, can't right click and download pics, can't upload pics that are not already on the computer. I get the same box with an X in the corner. We use Windows 7 and explorer at work also which could also be the problem.
All works fine on my home computers. I use Windows Vista, Windows 8 and both use Firefox at home.

I bet you are right. Our work network is always being fussed over by our IT folks, and I bet they made some changes that did this. Thanks!

You weren't trying to post pictures of naked tractors were you?
Certain picture formats can contain malicious malware that activates on clicking on them. IT people get a little over protective.

I don't know how the IT dept. has it set up but I can't post any pics from work. I also get the blank box with an X in the corner of many other peoples pics they've posted. Some pics I can view so it must only be certain pics.

Same with checking my personal Email using the work computer. I can read mail in the in box but cannot access sent, deleted, junk, or draft folders. Those are blocked for some reason.

They changed their security measures several months ago so I'm sure that has something to do with it. At times it gets frustrating.
For now at least I can still read TBN posts from others during my breaks.

Companies need to get much tighter on their networks. The wrong pictures get sent around in their network can expose them to legal liability.
Emails can also be a source of liabilities.
