I have a Ford 1620 (1998 vintage) with a loader. I bought it used and have not had it long, a month so the honeymoon is about over. I知 starting to notice things. One of them is that when I went to change the front tires from turf to ag the loader couldn稚 lift the front tiers of the tractor off the ground. Is that normal? Or do the hydraulics seem kind of wimpy? Do I need to adjust the relieve valve or something?

Do a pressure test, that is the only way to know the health of the hydraulic system. We have a video on our website showing how, and even sell a gauge setup if you don't want to build your own.

I checked out the video. That is a great suggestion. I will do that. While I was on your site I saw a butt load of handy things for my tractor. More than a few are going to be on the wish list I give to Santa. Thanks big time.

Try curling the bucked down and then try to lift it up using only down force. Sometimes with the bucket flat the loader runs out of travel before the wheels lift up.

Ya. I tried that. it still won't lift the tires of the ground.

Before attempting to lift frt tires check to be sure trans is in neutral and parking brake if applicable is off.

Every tractor with a loader I have been around can easily lift the front in the air. I agree, do a pressure check.

My B7610 has always had difficulty lifting the front, finally did a pressure test, it's a bit low. But it looks like I need to remove the backhoe subframe or be a contortionist with small hands to bump it up, so I'll live with it.

You will probably not be able to lift wheels in regen mode.

Use the dump power mode, to the far right.

You can also lift the bucket and tilt down, then use the lift arms to raise the wheels.
