I agree with you about Win 8. I have upgraded several machines to 10 and so far I like it. I still run 7 on my machine since my industrial programming software isn't yet compatible with 10.

I believe you are the only person that I have ever seen/heard make that statement about vista. In my opinion it was the second worst OS. Win ME takes 1st prize for the worst. Not downing you, we all have our opinions and experiences

My wife's laptop had Windows 8 and we upgraded to Windows 10 and it has been a huge improvement. I had Windows 7 Pro on my desk top and upgraded to Windows 10. I with I hadn't.

They won't tell you what has changed because I understand it is all about their security issues ("behind the curtain" stuff)...continual "patches" get hard to manage with all the 3rd party applications and doesn't take long to impact performance. So with 10 they get to start with a clean slate (and then the process will repeat with the inevitable security problems...seems it is a game amongst several people to find and exploit the weaknesses). I didn't notice any difference from 8.1 other than it comes with MS "Edge" as their default browser instead of IE.

The new windows 8 has no start button on your desktop I could just imagine what windows 10 looks like if windows 8 was weird looking.

WIN 8.1 brought back the "start" button and it is present in WIN 10.

I upgraded 2 desktops and 3 laptops from Win 7 or 8.1 to Win 10. No problems with any of them. I like it, it works as good or better than Win 7.

Do some of you spend all your time clicking around in the operating system? Jeez... Windows 10 is just another O.S. Quit being babies, suck it up and figure out how to make it work for you instead of crying for your mommies. OS's are just a way to access the programs which is where the real work gets done. If it's too hard for you, get out your iPads.

Windows Vista was one of the worst versions of Windows ever. It was so bad that most businesses refused to upgrade to it, and those that did often reverted back to XP.

Went from 8.1 to 10 3 days ago on desktop. Only issue is I lost my Autoplay function. Did my LT yesterday and it went smooth and everything works. It takes several hours to download and install. Be patient. Chatted with tech support about Autoplay issue yesterday and he said that I had and older version (version 10.0 Build 10240) and that updates should take care of the Autoplay. Other than that, I like it. It's go a few good features and nothing I hate, so far. Easier for me going from 8.1 > 10 than XP to 8. If your concerned, wait a while and let them debug more.
