If it is a fake, whoever did it is a Photoshop wizard. The shadow of Hogzilla in the second photo looks right to me.

Steve

It does look good. And there are big hogs in the world.

I'm just dreading the day these things show up on my property. They have been within 5 miles for a few years now but, so far, we have not seen them.

Pig crossed with a horse?

We shot two 250-300# hogs the other weekend. I'm thinking this one would tip the scales at 400- 450#. He would definitely put a dent in your deer corn budget! Especially if he's figured out how to shake the feeder!

I'm with you. Before reading your post, I was thinking he was in that same range...400-450 or maybe a tad over. Big, but I have seen hogs that were in the 700-750 range, a Duroc boar to be exact. I don't know much about wild hogs, but I understand that there are some in some areas that are crossed with the European wild boar. The color on this one is a bit odd; the blackish color seems a bit unusual, as does the somewhat bushy tail. I know one thing, there are some exotic things to come out of East Texas, including my lovely bride of 52 years. For my money, this big boy can stay there!

Whats strange is most hogs that get that large are 'barr hogs" cut young and released and nocturnally feeding good or pen raised . I have shot one "free range' over 400 pounds and that one looks way larger to me . I have seen smaller free range hogs stand on rear legs to fight cows over grain or scattered whole corn kernals on a large ranch in central Fla while on a stand . I doubt if that pic is real that that is a free range boar . That hog would also have to be very athletic and smart to grab feeder funnel like that . Heck if hog was that smart and large he would just tear and tip whole feeder over .:D Just my :2cents:

pic of 400 lb plus one (mounted) Remmy 700 30 ott 6 bolt action , iron sights, one shot from about 30' (no BS)

I shot a 150# sow at 10' once. I was calling turkey and happened to also have my 44mag lever laying beside me, in case a coyote came in. She first came in upwind from my decoys, then she retreated back into the woods and re-emerged downwind from my decoys and walked within 10' of where I was sitting. She sure seemed like she was making a stalk on the decoys. I've never seen a pig be that cunning.

A good load to kill that would be a 525 gr. pile driver out off my Marlin 45/70.

EDDIE WALKER'S not THAT bad a shot.

I know EDDIE could hole the big one or any of the smaller pigs from the perimeter of the clearing.

How would a big hog like that taste as a BBQ?
