Congratulations, sounds like a good deal! Good idea shopping for that lip for the bucket. If you're serious about your dirt work, consider a toothbar to go over the cutting edge. The teeth increase the ability of the FEL to break into hard packed material considerably. You'll get a lot more work accomplished with it. Here's an outfit in Iowa selling such items; don't know a darn thing about them:

Is he talking about a "tooth-bar",they do come with cutting edges.

I am thinking a bolt on cutting edge.If so,I wouldn't think the aftermarket would be much cheaper as the piece would probably have to be made to order.

You probably have discovered by now that the MX5200 was introduced in 2014 and has a high pressure common rail direct injection fuel system. All MX5200s have DPF. The model without DPF was the MX5100 discontinued after 2013. It had a low pressure indirect injection fuel system.

Took delivery of new mx5200. Received owners manual for tractor but am wondering if I should have also received a manual for the front end loader. There is no information for the loader in the tractor manual.

Yes- The loader has its own Manual. Probably sitting somewhere at your dealer's shop.

Which loader did you get? I am shopping the same 2 (L4701 & MX5200) The kubota book shows the lift capacity of the LA765 on the 4701 at 1684lbs and the LA1065 on the 5200 at 1691lbs. I would think the LA1065 would be quite a bit more.

FYI: I was quoted $27,750 for the MX5200HST with loader and R1s and $26,500 for the L4701HST with loader and R1s

I'm surprised at that number too. I checked it against the la844, which came on the previous generation of MXs, and according to Kubota, the 844 is stronger, which doesn't make much sense. I will say that between those two, the MX would get my vote. I'm very pleased with mine so far. Are they pretty similar in terms of features, namely, do both have SSQA, cruise control, and telescoping link arms?

That 1691lbs number for the LA1065 is for 500mm forward of the lift pin at max height where the loader is the weakest. Lift capacity at 1500mm and 500mm in front of pins is 2319lbs so make sure you are comparing apples to apples.
