How get out this block heater?

When I bought this 73 Ford 2000 five years ago, it had this block heater on it. So don't know how old or how it was put on. Wiring corroded so need to replace.

Assumed after loosening bolt it would be loose and come out, but stuck tight. I beat on it with hammer and bar, but no luck. Would it be attached with sealant or some kind of glue? Need heat or a chisel under it? Don't want to bugger anything up. I'm a novice at these things.

Second picture I took is the new one I got to install. Seems pretty simple, so don't know if old one is different.

Make a puller out of scrap steel... to bridge across the old heater and brace to the block. With a hole in the center that you can use the existing thread in the old heater to pull it out. Or try a sharp chisel under the lip, that may work. Maybe put a pipe wrench on it and see if you can get it to turn some. Looks like it has been in there for awhile.....

Got it out. Obvious now that I see what it looks like. Pounded under it with thin screwdriver and a cap popped off leaving what see in first photo. So I did as you mentioned and made a puller and got it out. Apparently just pressed in there. Doesn't look like the new one.
