Nice tales of lore to wake up to, along with wifey made coffee. Hard to beat, on a cool, clammy, half soaked, foggy morning.

Farmer, my dentist wouldn't even think of touching the tooth until the antibiotic has worked. I know how painful it can be. Even voices make it hurt worse. Hope for relief.

42 this morning and headed to 61 today.

Email notifications seam to be back on. Have gotten two so far. Now I guess that thread just needs to solve its toaster delima and all will be fixed.

Have about 75 tons of rock to move sometime. Need to make a couple of repairs before I start that project though.

Wife is doing better. Then medicine combo is working and she slept last night. Thanks for your concerns.

Eric nice story. A lot of history there.

Somebody must have really made Dave mad to stay gone this long hope he's doing well

I also wish Dave well and miss him, but I understand his absence, too. I was a long time subscriber of another forum, but recently quit participating due to all the snarky comments and off topic posts. I came to the realization that I was much happier without the daily upset that reading it had become. Life's just too short to hang out with malcontents.

Drizzle here too today, much like yesterday morning, when I had a phone call to see if I could help out and go "on a little adventure".

Good story, Eric, thanks for sharing. Adventure's good for the spirit, especially when it helps pierce a long standing mystery.

RNG, ever been to Muir Beach?

Many times, Drew, but never stopped. It's located on the famous Highway 1, just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, and that piece of road is great on a motorcycle. Your sister must be doing rather well to afford to move there, as it's probably some of the most expensive real estate in the US. Hope she likes the marine environment; I've got too many things that rust to want to live that close to the ocean! Not to mention listening to all the potato potato Harleys chugging by at all hours of the day and night.

Good Morning! 41F @ 6:30 AM. Sunny. High 53F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Good to hear your wife's more comfortable, Farmer. Hope they get her all fixed up real soon.

Don, that Whipper of yours sounds like a real pistol!

No email notifications from TBN since 11/30. Mom always did like you guys better...

Speaking of TBN, it sure is sure cranky this morning. Two "Server Errors" in a row, then a double post. There must be a disturbance in the force the last day or so, as other wonky computer glitches seem to be happening as I wander across the Interspace. Or even out in my own garage. Tried to replace a battery yesterday with one that was supposedly identical, but which turned out to have terminals 1/8" shorter. Just enough so I couldn't get a nut started on it after attaching all the leads that needed to get on it. What to do? Mill the top of the case off to expose more terminal, of course. But that opened up a hole to the inside which required a bit of epoxy to patch. Not a big deal, as it's an AGM and dry inside, but wouldn't want dust getting in there. Then the bracket that holds it into the bike wouldn't fit, either, so apparently the same part number is no guarantee you get the same battery. More fun and games today figuring out how to make that one work...

Around 42F and overcast @ 10:00 ... warm weather is gone, at least for the moment ... although it is supposed to pop back up to around 60F in a few days.

More wall cleaning yesterday ... finished east kitchen wall, did the south wall which there isn't really much of due to the cabinets, got the west wall done after that, then started on the north wall. Think I'm gonna do the ceiling with a sponge mop, since my neck will probably complain less. Also finished up washing the last of the metalware (cookie sheets)

Texas Plumber Sues Ford Dealer After His Truck Ends up in ISIS? Hands

Now I know who owns that truck...
the insurance carrier for the dealership had better roll quickly on this one and not try to weasel out claiming an Act of War or whatever.
Of course for people to really think he is sponsoring an ISIS armored truck is remarkably foolish considering the phone number on the truck or on just basic principles.
I feel sorry for the guy, he did nothing wrong but trust the dealership to do what they said they would do.

Here's a case where getting the dealership to write on the paperwork, "decals to be removed" might be a smart idea. I wonder how many other plumbers and builders with 250's and 350's with their name on the door didn't get the dealer to take them off... all kinds of criminals, bank robbers, hijackers, terrorists love innocuous looking trade vans and trucks. Serious gun on the back of that truck...not good for US servicemen. Of course these cowards would rather shoot at unarmed people anyway.

I think the US govt ought to track down that truck, if it hasn't already been blown to smithereens, and put a drone missile on its roof.
Or maybe a 500 pound bomb if it's way out in the open.
Decal removal complete.

if this should be moved to "Transportation" sorry.

Back a few weeks ago when I was at the LFS, I had asked Anna, one of the owners, if she sourced any of her stock from local breeders and if so, what would be a good species to breed.

She said Angelfish ... she won't buy them from her normal commercial sources due to problems ... local breeders only. She then mentioned that her primary local source had recently decided to get out of the business.

Checking craigslist yesterday, it looks like that breeder has put up all their equipment for sale ... 50+ tanks, lights, lids, filters, heaters and a Dolphin air pump ... quite the set up:
