Good morning. The sky is clear, time to get out before the wind gets up.

But I'll agree it does take some Kentucky Windage sometimes.

Kentucky windage ? My loader only curls and dumps, you and RedNeck must have deluxe models, just how much horizontal adjustment do you have ? :)

I used to faff around resetting the level indicator when changing from bucket to forks to bale spike. Now I leave it fixed and aim off too. Anyone mark the rod with a band to use as the other reference points ? WaxMan showed some very fancy indicators a while ago, this is one of his.

TXDon, Happy cows, well grappled. A weight on the back for the next time may save some wear and tear and help keep you safe.

Drew, Smart kids, good to hear the party went well.

Working a tricky programming problem for the motorcycle club web site, and between learning a new language, unclear business rules, my limited SQL skills, and being more than a bit rusty, I'm only able go at it a few hours at a time before my eyes cross and guacamole runs out my ears. It does remind me of my days as a developer, and that those were some of the most rewarding times in my career.

RNG I'm sure you can crack it if you want to. In your developer days was the best bit the money, or was it the satisfaction, when things finally go well, that was directly proportional to the problems that had to be solved along the way (although that doesn't hold for working with Microsoft products, that's simple frustration) ?

23 and frosty going to 48 and sunny. less wind than yesterday.

Drew, glad your hard work and planning paid off.

Eric, since I marked my rod with a Sharpie, it has really helped with getting the bucket level.

Good Morning, 32 here and going to 72 by noon, that's a fast warm up.

Drew, Glad to hear everything went well and all had fun. It was a good night last night, we went out to dinner with some friends we haven't seen in a year and didn't get home till late.

Okay don, with the pics I understand. My FEL would not even lift that bale with that big grapple connected. Again I use a spear which is lighter than the forks. That too was my tractor time yesterday, taking a bale out to the cows and unrolling it about 1/2 way, then grabbing it up the rest to feed the gelding, and then repeat with the goats and mares. If I take a whole bale out to them there is so much waste, but if I split it between them then they seem to eat 90% of it.

28 degrees going to low fifties today, and what a wet forecast ahead. Starting Tuesday, rain almost every day for a week.
If that's snow up North, Roy you'd better get that new snowblower on quick.

what a mess to clean up this morning. But I remain amazed the carpets or furniture didn't take a hit. I'll see what the vacuum cleaner sucks up...

and I know now that the local kids at least don't know what a Christmas popper is. Several kids took their poppers apart the hard way after i left. No pop...

My helper comes today for a little while; we are going to finish installing an electric jack on my trailer plus a few odds and ends.
Stone being delivered tomorrow, that will be a good project for the coming week, and for sure, i need to get it down before more rain comes.

2015-12-20,

26 right now...had a dusting of snow last night. A high of 32 is the prediction.

Drew, I did the Santa bit for a company Christmas party in 2006. Somewhat odd for me since I'm not a Christmas type and I don't particularly care to be around kids.

27 this morning and headed to 53 today.

Don't have many plans for today. Just take care of birds then a family Christmas.

Eric. Loader only moves like yours but it's a guess your aim point situation. I've seen people do that but they always used different colors of tape. Black-bucket, red-forks, yellow-spear ect.
